Discovering Leonardo da Vinci's drawing, 8P

For the very first time in 5 and a half centuries, the landscape drawing known by its inventory number, 8P, will return to Vinci, the Tuscan hometown of Leonardo da Vinci. The earliest dated drawing by Leonardo da Vinci has been restored and analysed leading to some exciting discoveries.

Discoveries include the confirmation of: Da Vinci's ambidexterity, the various working stages of the drawing, the different tools used by Da Vinci and the chronological construction of the drawing.

The drawing comes back to Leonardo da Vinci’s hometown, Vinci in Tuscany, from 15th April 2019 as part of the exhibition, “Leonardo da Vinci. The source of genius”.
