15' vs 16' MacBook Pro - Real Differences after 1 Week!

I've been using the 16" MacBook Pro for a week now, so here are the Real Differences I noticed compared to my 15" MacBook Pro!

The 16" MacBook Pro is probably the best update to the MacBook Pro Apple has made since the 2016 model.

The new 'Magic' keyboard is worlds better than any of the butterfly keyboards, as it combined the feel of the old Magic keyboards but also adds in a little bit of spring that I loved on the Butterfly keyboards.

The display has gotten larger, and the bezels have been reduced, making for a more modern look.

The speakers have been improved, but they're not perfect. Hear how they sound in this video..

The microphone is definitely a welcome upgrade, but it won't replace a dedicated mic for most people.

The new AMD Navi 7nm graphics in the 5300M and 5500M graphics chips are by far the biggest upgrade for performance, and the new cooling definitely does help.

why do you start the video by saying you gonna display real world differences and then show us 6 graphs of benchmarking tools, that show scores I can't even relate to out of a real world scenario? just a little critique

I'm truly surprised that you want the speakers to be louder. In my limited time with the model I just received, I found the speakers to be everything I didn't know I wanted from a laptop. Sure, they might be less powerful than another model, but I still think they're more than loud enough for 99% of all situations.

Hi I'm an Audio Engineer, with that much bass and seperation in the macbook speakers, there isn't enough room to push more volume without distorting or the laptop rumbling, of course I've not taking my laptop apart but pretty sure there's no amp, just good speakers.

If you have 15inch 2017-2018 model dont waste your money on new macbook if you dont have very intense graphic performance requirements, keyboard is not an issue if you use it with a silicon cover, i do use $3 clear silicon cover and I am happy with it

I'm a first time MacBook user. I purchased the 16inch to do online schooling with. As a first time user and what I use it for I won't notice for the most part these things. I ended up with the 1TB I9 refurbished model.

I picked up mine at the Apple Store yesterday. 2699 EUR - Base model in silver - upgrading from a 12" MacBook (Retina 2016) and I am totally blown away by the "new/old" keyboard which feels so much better than the Butterfly switches although I never had any issues with them and the speakers are amazing as well! Video editing and designing with Affinity Designer got more and more frustrating with the 12" machine, so I needed something with more power and a bigger screen.

About to order the 16" but debating between i7 and i9. I'm not anywhere close to a full time video editor, but I tend to edit a handful of effects heavy music video a year on FCPX. I'm going to go with 32gb of RAM, 5500M GPU and either 512 or 1TB of storage depending on the CPU I get. I deliver mostly in 4k but edit from 6k/8k footage and use external SSD's when editing. It would be nice to save a little cash by going with the i7 IF there isn't much of a difference with playback and rendering between the i7 and i9. Worth the CPU upgrade?
