If Steve has already taken credit, has the moment not passed?. When u do interject, it will come across as sour grapes. Always be on alert when going into a meeting, if such a situation as the one described occurs, bring the conversation or question that Steve did not contribute on, and build on that to show ur expertise. This will showcase ur contribution without ur losing face

This happens to me a lot.. but at the end of the day all my co workers and managers will still call me for updates and help on projects cause they know Steve is an ass and knows who works really hard at the end of the day cause I go the extra mile to work hard and put a smile on everyone’s face. 😎
