Thanks for telling it like it ACTUALLY is, it's nice to have someone with a bit of intelligence to make an informative, quality video that answers ALL the questions. Anyone who says to pull the axle just obsessed with yanking on shafts. That's like removing your gas tank to change your air filter, absolutely unnecessary, just stupidity. Yes the Chrysler dealer says pull the axle but they want longer repair times, not faster turn around. Don't get scammed.

If the bolts on the heat shield all come loose, this is doable. I just watched a friend do this on my 2004. We had two bolts that wouldn't cooperate, so I cut the heat shield with a cutoff wheel on a Dremel tool and we folded it back out of the way.
The coolant bottle stayed, and the only point of interference was the rubber hoses against the firewall. Prying with a wrench like Tom Kra did might have made things go a lot easier.
