hey guys! as a fan of your channel, and a tica, i think it would be AMAZING if you guys could shed light on the gentrification issues the country is facing. most of us costa ricans cannot afford land or our own home, in big part because of the immigrants (NOT ex-pats, immigrants like everywhere else) who are coming, buying our lands, developing them and then selling them to other immigrants super expensive, at prices we cannot fathom as ticos. also, gentrification is lowering our quality of life. A LOT of immigrants only trade between themselves, support themselves between themselves, and create this hermetic communities without a tico in sight, using our resources, living the pura vida life, but ignoring there were people who lived there before them. some immigrants dont even know how to speak spanish. if you guys would make a video on this issue, and also, on how as an immigrant you and others can support the ticos, the country and help our fight against gentrification (that is killing our land), i think that would be amazing. also, this is a HUGE CRISIS happening in our country, so be ready to get comments from angry ticos (also the title of 'jungle diaries' doesnt help! it continues to foster the stereotype that costa rica is only a jungle and that we are savages). i have honestly been a fan of your channel for years, and would really appreciate as a tica, if you guys show your support for our land, our people, and our country in this crisis we are facing (and even if you don't want to, you are an active part in - from the gentrification/white immigrant side). thanks.
