I’m a Costa Rican who lives abroad but visits regularly, you are absolutely right! Prices are getting more expensive, imagine for the locals. I’m fortunate enough to know where to shop and my tours are affordable since I am a national. However, it’s worth every penny. Pura vida!!

Just got back from a week in La Fortuna and I 💯 agree with this! If you want the best food and best prices when you eat go to “sodas” which are mom and pop restaurants that pop up all over the country and many have incredible views

Hello, I am Costa Rican, Costa Rica may be somewhat expensive, but not for Costa Ricans, here the prices for tourists and Ticos are the same. It is possible that Taiwan or Japan are cheaper (although that is not the case), in the end those countries are beautiful, in them you will find an ancient culture, but at the end of the day the truth is that those beautiful countries are not Costa Rica and its vacations are a life experience worth every penny.🇨🇷🕊Pura Vida!

It's really expensive around tourist attractions. Basically Switzerland and Iceland prices.
Best travel destination in my opinion is Taiwan and Japan.
