0:39 I think the reason why Bayonetta goes shorter is because during the first few frames of her dash attack, she takes a step back. But because you’re cancelling the dash attack you just grab when step back.

Roll canceled grab is actually not Ultimate specific, it existed in smash 4 too it was just never optimized

Roll boosted grab was in Smash 4, but there the only character with a roll good enough for it to have any value was Little Mac.

Roll cancel grab was not ultimate exclusive it was in smash 4 but only 3 character had any notable distance change iirc!

Fun fact: You can do a grab out of shield by pressing shield plus attack, and a smash attack with grab plus shield.
