Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat was hospitalised for dehydration after being disqualified from the Olympic final. She was disqualified for being a few grams over the permissible limit on Day 2 of the women's 50kg freestyle wrestling event.

For those protesting, this is not arbitrary. The rules must be followed. Competing at the lowest weight class possible is a regrettable side of the sport. In this case, the athlete dehydrated so much to make weight that she had to be hospitalised. Competing at a higher weight would have eliminated the need to push herself so hard to lose weight, but the weight class was picked to maximise the chance of winning. What is sad here is the choice to compete at such a low weight. Sadly, it is common in fighting sports and cutting weight has even led to death.

Why was she allowed to play under 50kg in olympics, when her natural weight is 56-58kg ???
Despite being looser for 2 times in olympic games why was she even given 3rd try???
