Making a sweet little utility knife from damascus and Honduran rosewood! An awesome build that can be made in a short amount of time. I have a lot of fun making these videos and helping others get into the craft of knifemaking. I mostly make tutorial and forging videos but sometimes throw in fast paced build videos like this. Please subscribe to the channel and check out some of the other tutorials about making knives and sheaths!

If you want to buy me a cup of coffee click here! I REALLY appreciate it

Did anyone notice the blade was shorter after heat treat?

I love how you figured the pin placement. I think I’ll try that next time I’m placing my pins. Until now, the only action my dividers has seen was to scribe bevel line.

That’s a neat little companion, Airin. Great steel/handle combo, too.
If anyone takes the scales off, they’ll see your makers mark, little buried treasure! 😉

Great job, as ever, my friend. 🇬🇧🙏🏻🇺🇸

Very nice vid, learn lots from you, much appreciated. I like to make Puukko’s with wooden scabbards. Almost Japanese tanto like but I use one continuous piece from pommel to scabbard tip. Usually Karelian Birch Xtreme or Curly Koa. Use Tru-Oil to finish off. Thanks

I love the look of honduran rosewood. Is the finish process similar to ironwood

cool little knife, love that wood, looks really good and seeing the question earlier, a wooden sheath would work I think with a leather cord to hang it from a belt or around the neck

So when I grind my scales after attaching them to a Damascus blade can I bring that finish back with an acid.
What is the solution that you dip the blade in after the final sanding

Interesting piece as usual Aaron. How would you carry it? Are you making a sheath for it?

Also, youre Canadian, right? Can you recommend a knife maker who could heat treat my first knife?
