Originally the design was a Fred Perrin design, called "Le Tri-Folder " then a mini version perrin made was called "Le Pititri" been around for a few decades. A decade ago, cold steel made a larger but decent knock off called the triple action

I used to sell various manufacturers versions of this knife style in the late 80's/early 90's. The Jacob's Ladder was a very popular toy. I say toy as the tip would get damaged if (when) the side closed at a greater speed than the blade fell. Still a fun time opening & closing.

It was not lost on me that you didn't show its closing manipulation at speed.
