Thanks for taking up the topic.
Similarly can we have the detailed one on the 3 best performing states. What they are doing better which can be emulated by these three states.
Given the scarcity of land and the pressure on land what best can be done by Bihar to improve the financial indices.

Liked the discussion. However we missed the mention ofliquor policy of Bihar and Rajasthan's going back to OPS. Both of these are major points when calculating the state's finances

Thanks a lot Rajesh sir and Radhika mam for addressing my Question.

The chart of freebies(as part of revenue) is scary.
Hope Maan sahb has some plan.

Thanks,

Subsidies must be more targeted and rich ones must be out from subsidy benefits.more physical autonomy quick transfer of funds from centre to states. Central delays in transferring funds and quick compliance for investment and no political difference should be disregarded.

Can’t understand the host having a large mug of coffee for himself each episode, but not even a glass of water offered to the guest. “अतिथि देवो भव:” gone for a big toss. Unbelievable!

We should move all sugarcane cultivation in Vidarbha to Bihar. And reduce rice growing in Punjab. We will solve multiple problems at once - drought in Vidarbha; water table depletion, and electricity wastage in Punjab; while managing floods in Bihar, because sugarcane are good for flood control. And better price for rice in Bihar.

Would it not have been better if you had compared with the actual state revenue of FY 21 -22 and not BE of FY 22 - 23

Haryana, despite being so financially and fiscally sound, has topped the charts of unemployment levels regularly going above a staggering 30% levels. What is this anomaly. Could someone please refer to a paper or video where it has been addressed

a single mention of corruption in the entire discussion; No prize for guessing into whose pockets that borrowed money is going.Indian journalists shouldn't be afraid to ask tough questions. The Print has a habit of skirting around this huge elephant in the room.
