hi.. I am 39 years old and have been allergic to the sun the past few years.. but its not too bad if I use sunscreen and stay out the sun.. wearing a cowboy hat too!    However, this week it all changes and I have a really bad reaction... very painful and all my neck, sholders and lower face has thickend red swollen skin.  Even one of my eyes has swelling around it.. like someone punched me in the face.  Thanks for this video.

Light bulb moment. I have a green smoothie typically 1-2x p/d. I rarely rash now and often spend the day in the sun with little or no reaction!

I have done all of the recommendations of doctors over the past 20 years, I do everything right and my ailment is getting worse. I was told this was a possibility and I fear I may not be able to go out in the sun at any point ever again. There is always an exception to the rule and I believe I am one of them.

My condition involves not only the sun but fluorescent light. Every time I go grocery shopping even at night I leave with a light but painful sunburn. I also have photophobia bright light is extremely painful and blinds me.

Thank u very informative I think I’ve developed it this summer late teen years so strange as I’ve always been a kid to go out and play outside every summer and all year round tbh since I was a little boy so found it weird when I developed it this year

I think i suffer from plme, i have watched videos on it and have looked up images and i can relate. i get red patches on my chest which are itchy, hot and inflamed. I struggle a lot in summer/spring but i find once my rash goes i dont get it again till the next year. I have tried many different things to try to calm the rash down but nothing seems to really help. im 15 and was wondering if its worth a trip to the doctors. I cant sleep and its very uncomfortable to deal with.

I am black but have a fairer complexion. Even spending time outside is a nightmare, as I burn after a few minutes and have an immediate reaction. My specialist has prescribed me sun factor 50+ and even this doesn't work.

I have heard a lack of vitamin A is a factor. I am yet to test this out.

My friend has discovered the CURE for PLE. He's been suffering from PLE for 38 years and recenlty he's discovered a cure. For the last two years he had no PLE outburst from the sun (except a very mild one in the spring) and he exposed myself to the sun more than all the years combined. He is a registered patient with the St Thomas Hospital in London where he has been attempting treatment for PLE for many years with no effect. The treatment my friend has discovered is internal not external. He documented the treatment and process and he's looking for guidance to properly hand this knowledge to the medical world. How should he go about this? Any advice?
