Spot on explanation. Experienced many cases where they twisted facts to accuse me of "liar/dishonest/crazy while they were playing the "innocent victim". They "rewrite" history to suit their needs and protect their false self. Thank you, Elizabeth 🙏🏻 💜

💯 accurately explained. From experience the narcissist did this.
When I was about a year old I inhaled a sewing pin, by 18 months old l was operated on, where part of my right lung was removed. Due to this operation and damage inhaling the sewing pin, I only started talking at the age of 6 years old. The narcissist rewrote the history of this and used it against me to in her court statement claiming I did not inhale the pin. But one can see where I was operated on where I had stiches.

He rewrote everything about us and they know he's outright lying yet they still backed him up. They'll convince you orange is purple and that a ghost runs the local post office.

Btw I am so grateful I do not know any pathological liars anymore. I used to have a "friend" that would make up stuff behind my back and tell other people I was a drug addict.

Truck drivers get drug tested more than anybody, I was am clean as a whistle. All that negativity must have ate him up because he is no longer with us.

He probably lied about a lot of things.

There is an esoteric concept that is not bizarre, imagining reality as you desire it.

"Revising" history from an esoteric stand point means to alter your viewpoint, for example "i did not know xyz" is my current view point, not "Sally hates me, because of xyz" which of course is not the same as being a pathological liar.

Now if you can change history by imagination, that would be a divine super power beyond both most people's comprehension and criticism.

For the most part pathelogical liars cope with their misbehaviour or manipulate people by "revising history" and we should all be mindful perhaps they suddenly had an insight about the event, you were not there, and they revised their story.

I can't think of an instance a liar has totally thrown me off course and I assume others are the same.

If you see this behaviour perhaps the best response that moment is to have compassion and imagine how you want events to proceed from there.

Everyone can the get back on the same page perhaps.
