Select Kia vehicles have a newer Steering Wheel Controls button arrangement. These can vary by model.
The buttons on the left side of the steering wheel provide access to:
The Instrument Cluster LCD…
The SMART CRUISE CONTROL settings…
VEHICLE following DISTANCE…
And LANE SAFETY settings.
PRESSING on the appropriate button will allow you to access that feature on the LCD display in the instrument cluster…
Toggle the OK button to cycle through options… then make your selection…
And PRESS the OK button to accept.
Press the left middle button to pause or resume the Smart Cruise Control feature.
On the right side of the steering wheel:
Pressing the MODE BUTTON changes the media source selection between FM, AM, SiriusXM and Bluetooth Audio.
Pressing and holding the MODE BUTTON will take you to the Button Settings screen on the Infotainment System.
The TOGGLE switch (below the MODE BUTTON) allows you to cycle through stations, songs, or presets.
Pressing the VOICE RECOGNITION button, also known as the TALK button, allows you to speak to the system to initiate a call or issue a command.
The VOLUME BUTTON adjusts the sound level…
And pressing the VOLUME BUTTON, mutes the sound, except for navigation guidance.
The CALL BUTTON lets you place, receive and end phone calls when your phone is connected.
And the STAR key is the CUSTOM mode button that provides access to pre-set functions on the infotainment system.
Pressing and holding it will take you to the CUSTOM button menu to select which feature you want the button to be programmed to.
