Thanks a million. I don't have buttons on the steering wheel, but I purchased joying's handheld controller. I previously had only one Key wire hooked up and could only get the volume to go down. Once splicing the key1 and key2 wires together it worked perfectly for Joyings handheld steering wheel volume controller without the steering wheel controls and I was able to program the rest of the buttons. Programming is a little tricky and it took a few trys to get it right for the remainder of the buttons.

Thanks for making this video! I have a 2004 Accord. With steering wheel controls. But on my harness I only have one ground coming out of it. There is an extra wire which I'm assuming is the audio control wire that you spoke about. I'll pull my dash back apart this afternoon just to make sure but I'm pretty confident that there was only one black wire coming out of there. Ground for the head unit. Is there any other way I could do it? Thank you

Thanks for posting this. In your case, was the KEY1 and KEY2 on 2 separate harnesses for you Joying head unit? I have a2016 Honda with a Metra connector which I'm also retrofitting a XTRONS android unit in. The difference is that KEY1 and KEY2 are on two different harnesses, so I wasn't sure what the difference between the two were

This a great video but I cannot find one video that shows how to identify the Steering Wheel Control wire in the vehicle wiring harness that Key1 and Key2 connects to. Can you help me. I have A 2011 chevy silverado with premium sound. Thank you

Where the black cable (ground) wire from the radio goes? To that loop?

My steering wheel control on joying is dead, it works perfectly fine with the factory radio. It worked before and after I have added amp, but suddenly it stopped working.

Hi, my head unit is ST7 Chinese also using connect2 adapter so that the old black/white display for the HVAC to work but nowhere from the radio cables or the connect2 adapter is not indicated which is Key 1. What is actually Key 1 wire, what is it do? Thanks.

Mine comes with three wiring harnesses, and one is just for key2 and ground do I need them because I don’t use the buttons on my steering wheel and they were never originally connected, so do I not need them?
