The cinematography and practical effects of the movie somehow just don’t age at all. The Evil Dead is a horror masterpiece that just continues to entertain even into 2023.

Little do people know, some of this isn't acting. The cast and the stuntmen really did take a lot of abuse in these movies. Like when Bruce filmed the we're gonna get you scene, he was genuinely in pain when Ted Raimi's hand reached out and started flailing his neck around.

Everyone who worked on this movie did an impeccable job.

Ellen Sandweiss did a phenomenal and spectacular job in this scene as she portrayed a innocent victim and displayed the elements of terror, agony, and pain as Cheryl is enduring hell, trauma, and despair as of today it still gives me chills and goosebumps.😰😱

Cheryl: * walks through the forest in a horror movie *

Trevenant: *"I likes ya, and I wants ya. Now we can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way. The choice is yaws."*

Raimi: this scene went too far
Also raimi: we’re going to use it in the remake
Yea I know he didn’t direct the remake, but he hand picked the director and was a producer.

When she's walking through the woods and it's all quiet and she calls out to someone that is when it really starts to come alive.

I was 7 yrs old when I saw this have no idea where my parents were or how I was able to watch such a scary gory movie, but I remember this scene and thinking I'm scared to death and never going onto the woods again, I didn't know or even understand stand exactly what was going on with the story being 7 yrs old but omg I knew very fast I wanted to go watch cartoons instead, still one of the most scary creepy movies ever

Now she knew damn well not to go out into the woods, ALONE, AT NIGHT, after she heard mysterious voices outside her bedroom That is just pure insanity lol

Why didn’t she run back where she came from originally before the trees attacked her? Why did she wait in the fog? 🤔

I'm only asking this because of story continuity: Wasn't there supposed to be a part where a tree branch spanks Cheryl against her will while other branches are forcibly taking her clothes off?

Doesn't surprise me a man wrote this scene.
