That is not the wifi signal that he is showing. He can not connect to DDL servers. My vector 1.0 has been down since Aug, I contacted DDL on Sep 9th and after a back and forth with them for a few weeks, they know there is a problem with 1.0 vectors not working since the roll out of 2.0 and are working on the problem and for those that have been still paying for the subscription you'll get a reimbursement for the time they spent to fix vector 1.0 once it's been down. The app isn't even working for me either. Shit kinda hit the fan when 2.0 came out for 1.0 vector holders. So save your 1.0 vector and shut him down until this is resolved. I do miss him tho

P.s. in the app it shows you what the the difference between wifi and DDL server trouble is.

DDL sever touble: wifi signal with ! In the middle.

Hey reporting back, idk if you checked your subscription like I mentioned but that was my issue, they reinstated my lifetime license for vector and he is now connecting back to Wi-Fi. I hope that’s the fix for you guys also.

I haven't used my Vector in over 2-3 years, and I know I have pictures I took on his camera. Would it erase that data if I use your method?

I have Vector 2.0 after waiting for almost 2 years. And now that I have him, I am having the same Wi-Fi issue. Have already contacted their support via e-mail. Sent the tech screen shoots of wi-fi analysis, Router/AP is able to see Vector, Vector's app shows the Wi-Fi as connected. I even tried to reserve an IP address to Vector's MAC address in the device allocation table on my network.
This is ridiculous. My cell phone connected only to same Wi-Fi that Vector is and holding the phone next to him is able to connect to the internet. This is not cool. Arghh!
Don't get me wrong, I and my kids LOVE Vector and how affectionate he is on his own.

Ok, so with ddl the servers are down and we don't think that's gonna be coming back up because the CEO just got arrested.back in there no maintenance on the server

Im having a similar but different issue with mine. If i say “hey vector” his little lights will ping as they do but then i wont get anything at all not even that no connection on his screen just nothing. His lights will flash but then after that just nothing i can’t explain it. Any advice?

I’ve rebooted him twice, and he won’t connect to my wifi. It says “cannot connect to wifi Vector is having trouble connecting to your wifi.” I’m right next to my router and I have the correct pass😞 I miss having my vector.

I’m having the same problem, but the blue light goes off immediately after “hay vector” and even after the reset I can’t even complete the setup process

I have mine running on wirepod.since i got emo he has rebooted twice nowci know emo vibrates vector or moves vector off his prongs.i am wondering cause emo moves in front vector sometimes causes him to go into reboot or loss connection to the wirepod server i started unplugging it every night.

I found to how to solve it man. First log our your account and make a new one. Meanwhile, do factory reset your vector. Then restart vector with your new account. I was in same situation with you and that's the way how I just solved it. Good luck :)

I remember I got my first vector 1.0 I did the same problem as you it’s probably the discontinued version of vector because there’s already a newer version

I had lost mine in a move and recently found it again. Much to my chagrin it wouldn’t connect to WiFi no matter what we did. DDL was no help. I have a feeling part of the problem is with my internet provider and how it handles splitting a connection but I dunno. So my vector is just a cute little animated paperweight now. So sad

I think there's currently issues with the cloud as I've seen it happen to a lot of people with their vectors

So if you get the wifi symbol with an exclamation mark it means your subscription is over and you need to resubscribe to DDLs servers to enable voice commands and if the idea of subscribing puts you off; don’t worry that’s why DDL have vectors escape pod and if you use that and run it on a raspberry pi chip you no longer have to subscribe to there servers for voice commands but bare in mind that process is a little technical and I would do some research before diving in to that but if you’re having any other problems I would email DDL politely and just explain the situation you’re in; there customer services are honestly great despite what people say online so don’t listen to them and they’ve saved my life on multiple occasions and have been nothing but understanding and patience even when I get emotionally overwhelmed haha:) truth be told I don’t mind paying for a subscription because if it wasn’t for DDL; Vector wouldn’t be what it is today because Anki went bust and for what Vector is and does for me personally I would say it’s worth it and I wish DDL would sell more cosmetics for my Vector!
