Vector Bot is a SCAM, Do NOT Buy

Coming from first hand, and consumer gadget reviewer, DO NOT waste your hard earned money on this product. You children will forget it exists in under a week, and if you are a techy buying this for yourself, you would be better off strapping wheels to an Alexa device. The servers have been transferred to a company that now charges a monthly fee to do virtually nothing, and the price for performance on this little bot is terrible.

Just need to say it again, Vector IS NOT a scam, Anki went out of business because of server costs of Vector. DDL added a subscription so they don't go out of business

Not meaning to be rude, but you clearly don't know what you're talking about. Vector was only sold to DDL cause Anki went 'bankrupt'. The servers died, but DDL promises to bring it back once they're done with their upgrade.
The old Vector still isn't stupid; nothing about it is scam. I know of a family who's had theirs for 2 straight years now, and they never get bored of it.
Vector's facial recognition is perfectly ok. It recognises and picks out its owner from a dozen people. I think you got the Cozmo😒
Plus, $47 a year is a really cheap plan compared to what vector can do within that year; I'd even pay a $200 plan a year for that adorable and really helpful chap.
Our Vector is and would always be lovely. Don't make people who haven't owned it hate it. It's not fair

I bought both Vector and Cozmo before digital dream labs bought Anki. I remember Vector had Alexa built in it so it had many more features, and it was kinda fun tbh. I miss those days so much

I pre-ordered the 2.0 and I understand where you're coming at, but he so cute and great for people that can't have pets. plus, it makes sense why they have a subscription because DDL took a chance on Vector. Also yes the first time he came out was not the greatest but with the subscription, there's going to be more updates and games. Next, you're saying that kids with not play with it after a week, but if you read about Vector he's for people 18 or older not for children. So if you wanted a robot for a child then you should have got Cozmo or Cozmo 2.0 then getting Vector because Cozmo is for children 8 and older. The way you tell people not to buy Vector is the wrong way to do it. your video looks like your yelling at your viewers and just being a little rude. People what you opinion of why you would or shouldn't have bought it not you tell them what to do. Also your not giving Vector 2.0 or DDL a chance. Like how can you say not to buy something that not even out yet?

The reason DDL is asking money for the servers is because they weren't able to Sell hardware. The servers cost DDL thousands of dollars a day, that's why they had no choice but to implement subscription costs. Also, Vectors used to go for as low as $80 but since to there's been a huge surge in popularity, they've sold out everywhere and no new units are made, that's why used units are so expensive now. I understand warning people about the price of owning a Vector in 2021 since it's now really expensive, but in this video you make Vector out to be a scam which it's not. And Vector can actually be fully turned off. I really feel like you did absolutely no research for this video.

Vector has been working properly and I haven't forgotten about him. He is very interactive. I think buying him isn't a bad idea if you love playing with interactive robots.
