6.1W/kg for 36 minutes. That’s what Sepp Kuss did up Alpe d’Huez in the 2022 Tour de France to set the Strava KOM. But what would happen if we rode at that pace? How long can we keep up with the fastest cyclists in the world on an epic climb? Manon, Si, Conor, Hank and hill climb king Andrew Feather take on a virtual Sepp in an Alpe du Zwift challenge to find out!

What's the most impressive is that he set the record on day 12 of the Tour and having raced about 150 km just before the climb.

Loved this! It's a sobering reminder as to how much faster the tour professionals are even in comparison to the GCN ex-professionals. Andrew Feather is an inspiration - a truly gifted amateur who can ride with the best in the world, and always makes great viewing.

I've done both. AdZ 12 or so times and AdH twice. I can categorically say that the virtual AdZ runs MUCH MUCH easier than the real deal. No question.
