The Gatorade cap is not just thermonuclear resistant. It's entropy resistant. In trillions of years from now when the universe has expanded infinitely outwards and not even subatomic particles can exist, the Gatorade cap shall still remain, hopelessly in search of another mortar system for the rest of eternity.

A thermonuclear resistant Gatorade cap to operate a mortar is one of the most American things ever.

That Gatorade cap is a special lubricant container that cost 3000 tax dollars

Morters are so nasty in the hands of people who know how to use them they can rain down hell in a hurry

Fun fact, over 80% of head related injury has been proven to come from training and firing our own ordnance.
Mortar crews have higher rates of brain damage then professional foot ball players.

These injuries only get worse over time and often take a decade or more to show up.
Side effects include everything from a total inability to control emotions to full on skitzo disorders.

Simply put, the VA owes Veterans and active service members a billion dollars in medical care at least.

My middle school football coach was in a mortar crew, he was completely deaf in one ear and mostly deaf in his other.

If an expert crew can fire 16 rounds a minute, I’m gonna guess the inexperienced crew can fire at least double that😂

The mortar crews in The Pacific (HBO) gave me a lot of perspective and appreciation for our beloved WW2, and other veterans 💙

These guys truly are experts. Most people will never understand how badass high-speed you have to be in order to be a good mortarman. For us infantry, these boys are more badass than the flyboys. ❤ knowck em dead guys 💪🏽

That crew just expended the equivalent of New Zealand's total monthly military training budget.

16 rounds per minute. One round every 3.75 seconds. Damn quick for an 11 Charlie.

Your hearing loss was found to be not service related 😂

0341 here. I once watched a gun line(4 guns) fire a total of 144 rounds within 2 minutes. Ears were ringing pretty good after that lol.
