Backward ulting is a must so you can easily tp back for quick retreat

Use the ulti to place the clone behind the enemy and hit the basics faster: ✖️

Use it behind you to hit him slowly and he can escape: 🤙

Having good positions is better than grinding some stacks. You can only do the back ult thing, only if you wanted to poke. Otherwise, if you wanted to rush and deal as much damage as possible, you should almost always, ult forward. You can always prepare your stacks before getting into teamfight by killing minions or creeps
