Must have lenses for Lumix GH5 in 2022!

What are the best lenses for the Panasonic Lumix GH5? I have the answer for you. Or at least I'll give you my opinion.

@1:24 Sigma 18-35 f1.8 (best for video)
@3:43 Panasonic 42.5mm f1.2 (good for portraits)
@5:06 Panasonic 25mm f1.4 (equivalent of 50mm on crop sensor)
^Top 3 he uses the most
@6:04 Panasonic 12mm f1.4 (uses mainly on gimbal)
@6:34 Panasonic 8-18mm f2.8 (not much use, but wide so good for vlog)
@6:56 Olympus 12-14mm f.28 (rookie purchase, he wishes he got the lumix equivalent [12-35mm IS])

I agree with your choices! Others I really love are Leica 10-25 1.7 and Leica 50-200 2.8-4

My favorite lense for the GH5 is the Olympus 25 1.2. Amazing, crisp, buttery shots. Great Bokeh. The only downside is that 25mm is a bit too zoomed for most of my video applications. I think my next lens will be something a bit wider, yet still 1.2 or close to it.

I’m rocking the Sigma 16mm, 30mm, and 56mm! I’ve owned the 18-35mm, the 42.5mm F1.2, and the 25mm F1.4. I liked them, but the look between lenses was to inconsistent. So I had to switch to a set that matched. I absolutely love the Sigma Primes!

I’m considering switching from canon 6D Mark 2 to the GH5 line. This video was very helpful. I do 60/40 photo/video so I would probably go with the 8-18 and 42.5 if I had to choose only two lenses thanks for the video Subbed!

I love the Olympus 12-40mm. It’s more robust compared to Panasonic. The optional manual focus and fast auto focus sold me. Sucks that it doesn’t have image stabilization. I switch between photography, filmmaking and events, so it’s a happy medium.
