How Much I Make Working in Cyber Security (And Where You Can Get Started!)

In this video I discuss something that is not really discussed much (rightfully so), but I feel it's important for fresh eyes to get a feel for what they are going to come across. This video is by no means to flex, but wanted to be as honest as possible.

I have also gathered anonymous info from the public about their earnings as well. One area I did not talk about is Total Compensation (That's Base Pay + Bonus + Stock + etc), that will greatly vary by company and performance.

Some links to get you started!

I'm very new to cyber security. I'm right now working on getting a sans certification I'm still in high school so it's really hard balancing school and studying cyber security and this video helped me a lot with learning what I'm getting into and if continuing is really worth it.

Hey Cody. I discussed with a friend about starting late. He is 53 and has good IT experience. He is Homelabing, knows about networks, virtualisation like TrueNas or ProxMox, medium programming skills, and just a Dude that is very interested in IT. I told him to start thinking about going into Security. But he thinks he is to old to start there. What would you say, does it make sense to switch from 2cond level support to Security by age 53? Thanks for your feedback, he appreciate every help.

The thumbnail of some dude holding up cash just seems scammy. You will make as much money as the glass ceiling allows you to.
