I have curly hair (3b) and I approve this message! Hair is hair, and the same principles apply- be gentle, condition, protect.

This is verrrryyyy true. I have very coily type 3c/4c hair. Years ago, i worked in salon where the styliests were predominantly white. Man, those women taught me so much about MY hair. That's where I learned that although my hair texture is different, growing and maintaining the health of my hair is the same as someone with silky straight hair. They forever changed my life. And i dont fall for company's markerting towards curly hair.

Abbey I have curly 3b hair too and your advice transformed my hair after years of expensive dissatisfaction with the Curly Girl Method!

I think where it’s important is for styling products. I have yet to use a leave in that is good enough on its own, I get much better results from products with hold, and normal hair gels are typically too strong/heavy and weigh my hair down. And other times it’s just preference. Like I love what the amodimethicone conditioners do for my curls, but they don’t have enough slip, so I usually have to use an awful amount to make it slippy enough to brush my hair.

I did exactly that, Abbey: I stop myself from following all of that curly wherever gurus, I followed you and the results are AMAZING. Thank you for everything you did for me ❤

I'd like you to showcase the finishing products you use because that is where the shine is coming from. I've seen your hair after it's dried after using your conditioners and it's nothing like the shine in your videos.

I think it matters for hair texture like fine/coarse and porosity but not curl type.

I have wavy/curly hair but it is super fine. I struggle with heavy conditioners no matter what the label says.

I also think hair washing more often is related far more to my fine hair looking good the curl type.

Yes and no:

You both may have hair damage, so you will both benefit from repair and nourishment. Curls don't matter.

Yes, it's true that brands produce many more product varieties than necessary.

But you need to know if your hair is fine, medium or thick. Fine hair can accept less repairing product before ita weighted down.
Same with oil: most oils will make healthy, natural, blond hair look greasy.

Could u do a tutorial and show products to make thin/fine hair thicker pls

Hair porosity matters though. Stuff that says it's for thick coarse hair, better not use them for limp fine hair because it's going to be too heavy and will make your hair look drab and flat

You can’t pry my Redken All Soft Mega out of my fine, thin hair hair/hands. It’s the best. Stuff for fine thin hair never gives enough slip or conditioning!

You don’t know what you’re talking about honestly😂 the first picture is the same girl with straightened hair. Also, your hair type is very important when choosing products based on the results you’re trying to achieve. Is your hair straight, wavy or curly, do you want volume this day or not, is your hair low, medium or high poriosity? All those things matter.

I have pin-straight hair and have used curly-shampoos before. My hair just stays straight. Some CH make it crunchy or stiff. Cantu worked fine for an exsample.

I use(d) a shampoo from Garnier Fructies, and they stop selling it in Austria. So I tried other Garnier Shampoos to. They got a curly hair line low (Shampoo, Conditioner, Spray) in cute green bottles with I think Lime Scent. I still gave it a try and the scent was amazing. The Shampoo was still ok on my straight hair, but to nourishing. And the conditioner and leave-in-spray made mine just crunchy and not soft.
I think for curly hair it might be really nice though. ☺️

My problem is I take the minipill and I think it makes my skin and sculp very dry. I mean it also can stop acne, and my skin looks amazing.
No acne, no pimples.
But my dry skin/sculp also means it doesn't like products that are harsh.
But cbecause I allways struggled with oily sculp/hair I found out using a deep cleansing shampoo once a week works great to remove buildup.

I don't know if the brand is sold outside of Austria and Germany.
I am from Austria

(edit because updates, tried to make it more readable 👍😅)

Except we curlies need styling products with hold or we look like alpacas.

Hair pattern doesn't matter, but there definitely differences in the formulation on products targeting coarse or thin hair, damaged or dry hair...
