Love your products, Stephen. Just got wind of them recently, but I love what you’re doing. Promoting health in the hair and creating versatile styling products is wonderful. I have tried many of the “home brew” products, and while they’re not bad, they aren’t even close to your salon-style products. Thank you!

Very helpful video. 25 is definitely the best prestyler on the market that I've tried. I even use it on days when I wear a hat as opposed to actually styling my hair.

Agree! I see so many folks out there use all kinds of finishing products, regardless of type (clays, waxes, pastes or even pomades) as prestylers. And that really drives me nuts!

This!! I can think of the main offender pushing this idea straight away. It’s just a way of using more product, faster.

They are basically saying if you use double the product, it will hold longer/stronger etc, but disguising the con by calling the first dose, “prestyling”.

I’m slowly going off most prestylers, they seem to cause frizz in my hair or interfere with the styling products performance, mainly no wax will hold or stay up and seem to stay tacky and Clays look super dry and make my hair look dead, but stay tacky.

So if anyone wants to create a one stop styling product that’s water based, strong hold, natural/satin shine good texture and fully dries, I’ll buy a drum full.

Can you explain - pre styler with a built in heat protectant claims. Do you have a pre styler in your terms that also acts as a heat protectant?

Stephen. The 25 spray is really good. But the pre game matte wax paste is a fantastic pre styler. :). I mean it’s a great pre and post styler. Something like clutch I am sure is just post, no point using it as a pre styler.

So what exactly is mousse for? You mention for volume and to plump fine hair, but I've never found mousse very helpful for volume (I don't have fine hair). I can get lasting all day volume by blow-drying correctly. Granted, I haven't tried that many brands of mousse, but is there something I should be looking for with regards to volume that mousse can help with?

I'm curious, why didn't you show your product that's actually called, "Prestyle"? I really like it.

Just bout your 25 spray. I work in the construction trade in general and I shower at night and wake up early and don’t have time to do anything to my hair before going to work. Can I use the 25 spray to my hair in the morning on my way to work as a conditioner or as a protectant even though it’s dry? Any issues or problems with this? I appreciate all your content and want to help myself and others who may be in a similar profession or situation where they may not be able to get their hair prepped in the morning. Thank you!!

Which would be better for frizz and smoothing (Plush Smoothing Serum or SLEEK Argan Oil Smoothing Serum) ? I have frizzy wavy hair that is about 6" in length, so I don't want to weigh it down any further.

I use Aveda Thickening Tonic as a prestyler, the best prestyling product I've ever tried. A bit expensive though.

I was looking at the ingredients and it has silicone in it, isn't that suppose to be kinda bad for hair long term?

Hey Stephen,
One quick question: is your 25 Treatment 100% out of natural ingredients?
As I had a hair transplantation I want to use only „clean“ stuff 👍🏽😎
Thanks man and greetz from Europe

Should I use an oil base pre styler like a smooting serum with something like shadow. Is that gonna make my hair too shinny?
