Not suffered any noise with mine in the surf or any part of the beach or fields yet so far with the first software version. Not tried it yet since the update, not sure I have enough to compare to really as it was already good as it was.

lot of features. on that, i got a equinox 700. almost as simple as my gold monster. found out the gm1000 doesnt work to good in the wet sand., but beach 1 on the 700 after, auto noise cancel. quiet. have a good day. boss

I dig a lot of bronze coins over the years here in Japan, if I get a Manticore, would you suggest I use one high frequency to hit my old areas
I'm old like you and have been hitting here since the old push button retune units
There is one old bronze that can be very very small, almost a flake, but very rare

Not much improvement without the new coil especially designed for salt environments. But you have to wait at least for the end of 2023.

Paul, thanks for the update info... Wondering if minelab is looking at any kind of update to help stabilize it in the surf/wash zone at the Beach. She seems a bit noisy to me in that zone. Nokta addressed on their update, on the Legend, and that machine is super quiet and bangs out very low conductors in the same zone without noise from the water/surf surges. 🧲(((💍🪙⛏️
