Minelab Manticore vs XP Deus 2: Which is THE BEST Treasure Metal Detector?

Minelab Manticore and XP Deus 2. Which one should you buy? Which is the best treasure metal detector? I'll be testing XP Deus 2 and reviewing just released Minelab Manticore on the basis of already existing Minelab Equinox 800 & 600 detectors. Good video Merrill, I am patiently waiting for my manticore and think it will be great. I am really impressed with the new equinoxes also, I think they will be totally awesome. I love the new scale and the color screen looks cool. There are so many good choices now and different machines will work better for different people, it depends on the person.

Another great, no BS video! You are the genuine article! I’m an Equinox 800 user and here in the UK, we are forced to ignore the numbers to ID targets. I really only use the numbers to determine if the Nox is trying to lock onto something by giving me the same number amongst jumping numbers. The big take away from your video is to pull the coil back and front tip the target. 👊🏼

I bought my first detector kit from Heathkit for Christmas 1974. I first went searching in the spring of 1975 as the ground thawed. It still works as well today as it did back then.

Thanks Merrill, after watching this video I am (for now!😅) not worried I bought into the Deus2 to early. When the manticore came out, I was really afraid I spent €1600 on the deus2 and had to replace it 10 months later already and splash out another 2k (that I could also spend on my family 😂) for the manticore. I can now sleep again. You’re the best.

Thanks For this video. If I had the money I would buy them both. 1 I love the hobby 2 I love learning new detectors 3 I really want the best detector out there. But it still comes down to the user and how well they know there detector. Depth has always been a problem on fringe depth objects. Our Ears are still our best things we can use for determining weather or not to dig it up. Happy New Year
