I am a veteran, though not a combat veteran (United States Marine Corps 1977-1981) To all combat veterans, and the families of combat veterans who gave their lives, you have my upmost appreciation, gratitude, and thanks.

I am also a long time NRA member, but I am reconsidering renewing my membership. I did not Join the NRA to have my gun rights given away. I have never owned a bump fire stock (which IS legal) and I never will. I qualified expert 4 years ago. I have NEVER owned an illegal firearm. But just because I have no use or need for a device which increases the rate of fire of a weapon legally does not mean I am going to stand for the NRA, or any other supposed gun rights organization, to support sacrificing even a single one of my legal rights under the Second Amendment. If the NRA continues to support this, I will not renew my membership, I will not wear any NRA clothing, and I will remove the NRA stickers from my vehicles. I will send my money to a more worthy organization.

As for the scum who trash our country and our flag, you need to give up your citizenship and leave our country. You are not welcome here.

William Harvey Carney was the 1st black man to be awarded the Medal of Honor. He was a sergeant in 54th Mass Inf when during the battle of Ft Wagner, William picked up the fallen colors and planted them on the enemy parapet to rally his men. On retreat, he was wounded twice saving his flag from being captured. Stand for him.

Any legislation the NRA supports to limit my 2nd Amendment rights will result in an immediate cancellation of my lifetime membership and the beginning of a class action lawsuit for breach of contract. How to promote security at schools, malls, family gatherings and other government agencies. Arm the students, workers etc. and get the gun industry to donate the guns given to the students and all government employees, A win win solution, save money on guards at school and promote security.

Every student or employee etc. should be handed a hand gun when they arrive at school or work! An armed guard does not work. There was an armed guard at Columbine and 13 people died. We need to have all the students and employees armed so they will be safe. In many cities there are gangs. Would not people feel safer if everyone at the school or work was packing was packing and read to defend themselves if they saw something that scared or threaten them. An extra benefit school bulling would stop. Who would bully someone locked and loaded.????
Note schools should provide gun training to school students before they get a gun. We want to keep everyone safe. more guns equal less crime Support the NRA
