FLYING further WEST with hot air hoppers

Hoppers at Dawn, Homebuilt hot air balloons, and a chance to fly further West than I've ever been, what an awesome adventure.
If your going to take hot air ballooning to an extreme, Hoppers are one of the easiest directions to go (short of setting a world record, or flying over Everest) - They are in my mind, like riding a motorbike is compared with driving a family saloon car, your legs are out, the view is made just for you and the sky - like the road - is yours to play with.
Here I got an awesome opportunity to meet up and get to know a family steeped in ballooning experience, while on a holiday (vacation) to New Mexico - of course I was visiting Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta AIBF. but this was the bonus feature, AIBF is sometimes followed by an informal flyout at red rocks, however it was not to be, with ground conditions there very wet after some unusual weather (watch this one for the details) - so I had a day to hang around - no where to go and nothing to do before my flights back to the UK - so why not join in with some more ballooning :-)
