It's more that a word actually having a direct translation in a different language is rare. The meanings of complex words almost never line up 100%, usually only for things like "apple" etc. Simple categorising nouns. Anything more conceptual than that, like emotions or opinions etc will almost always have a slightly different meaning and connotation. Words that don't have any words in other languages that could fit at all are just the far end of that spectrum.

It's so messed up that a lot of kpop stans really feel that their idols are basically property, and shouldn't date because they need to keep up a parasocial relationship with fans. They will defend their own idol no matter what, but they criticize other idols harshly. I do like kpop, but in a much more casual way.

In german we have this word called „Fernweh“. And it’s basically the opposite of „Heimweh“ aka being home sick. It describes a feeling of wanting to leave but not knowing where exactly you wanna go, you just wanna go. And i think it’s great.

I guess that's the main reason people cannot learn a language 100% from outside since languages are not just the words. It inherits its own culture. Many things are hard to translate in English. Same things I've learned while I am living in Canada.

In Danish we have the word " Hygge " which is a feeling/something you do. Its not really able to be translated, the closest thing is cozy but it's not really the same

I have it. The world is "muyek". It's used to describe your feelings when you're annoyed/ angered by someone or something but you can't do anything to change that feeling. You may feel like you just want to fly to heaven for a while and comeback after you can manage your emotions 😅
