That ring on soda bottles is so you know it hasn't been tampered with. The soft rubber gasket in the cap is what keeps it from going flat.

No woman has ever once thought that was a pocket in their underwear and stored small items in it. 🤦‍♀️

I always thought that some coins had ridges so that people with sight problems could tell them apart. I have a condition that will cause me to go mostly blind for several minutes at a time, and i've learned how to tell the difference between coins by the weight, size, and the ridges on the sides.

Did you know that the holes in the shoes are made so that you can still breathe if a shoe gets stuck in your throat?

Edit: This is my first comment that reached over 100 likes. I genuinely wonder how did this blow up.

They are not 'tiny buttons'. They are rivets. They were put at all the stress points on early jeans. Just as that tiny pocket is a watch pocket from before the wrist watch was common. The ring on a soda bottle (water bottle, bottle tea, bottled coffee, etc) isn't to keep the carbonation in, it's to show the bottle hasn't been tampered with.

On most soda bottles, the ring is a portion of the twist cap that shears off. The gasket or ridge on the top interior of the cap is what makes the seal and preserves fizz.

The cotton pads rough side is for exfoliating skin or removing makeup on face, soft side is for sensitive skin and eyes.

I have always understood that the pom-pom was originally there to protect submarine sailors from bumping their heads on low structure and objects

I use empty Tic Tac boxes to store small items like buttons that need to be sewn back on, but you need to lift the top off first with a lever, then you can store anything in them, that fits the box, but not the opening.
If you make a mistake with a pen and are not using erasable ink, use liquid paper, let it dry then write over the area, when it's dry.

Thats not what the plastic ring around soda bottles is for. Its to connect the lid to the bottle like a screw. They are literally on water bottles, juice, you name it- which are carbonation free.

5:47 this is not right tho... I tried to shake a sprite bottle without the ring and it still kept the liquide inside with no leaks
I think the real purpose is to determine if it was opened before (like a security seal)

The ring on soda bottles (and others too like water) is the seal of the cap, if the cap is connected to the ring you will know that the bottles hasnt been opened yet, its not to prevent the gas going out.

Your thumbnail is click bait. I don’t care for that tactic. Your channel will now be regulated to “don’t recommend” in my feed.

Bottle security ring. Not necessary for keeping gas in bottle, the tightened cap does that just fine. Indeed in some bottles rings are spaced such that you can break the gas seal and let gas out *without* breaking the ring from cap. What the bottle ring does is indicate tampering as such is now required on most products.

Negative on the Pom pom. It’s purpose was to prevent bumping your head aboard ships
