Icelandic VS Hawaiian Eruptions

Icelandic eruptions are typically non-explosive and relatively gentle compared to other types of volcanic eruptions, with lava flowing out of fissures or vents in the Earth's crust. The lava can flow over large distances, creating vast lava fields and shield volcanoes. A volcano on the Reykjanes peninsula in southwest Iceland erupted late on December 19, 2023, is an example of an Icelandic eruption.

Hawaiian Eruptions are similar to Icelandic eruptions; they involve effusive eruptions of large volumes of very hot, thin, runny lava that originate from vents of the volcanoes. Kilauea volcano's eruption on June 7, 2023, serves as an example of a Hawaiian eruption.
