I love how Wonka acts like a fool most of the time but every now and then you see it in his eyes that he knows exactly what's going on and what's about to happen. He's the smartest man in the room and no one even know it!

What I really liked about this scene is Willy sat next to Charlie of all the guests during the boat ride, and even gave Charlie and Grandpa Joe chocolate from the river, which he previously didn't want anyone to touch or eat. This pretty much shows Willy liked Charlie the most of the guests and knew he was probably lonely and good hearted. He was even concerned over Charlie's health, saying how he looked starved to death

I love the combination of Depp’s line “There’s no knowing where they’re going”, the lights coming on to reveal a big drop as if it’s a theme park ride, and the legendary score from Danny Elfman that makes you feel like you’re going on an adventure through a massive, seemingly infinite complex of the strangest and most wondrous sights in the world

I just realized how pale Wonka is compared to everyone else, showing how he never got sunlight due to barely leaving the factory. Subtlety is cool!

I love how Charlie is genuinely interested in knowing more about Willie Wonka. He's also fascinated by how the factory works and understands the simple, yet very imaginative creations like the whipped cream. 🐄🍦

I'd say that psychologically Wonka is still a child. And this scene alone is a goldmine for quotes and hints that further imply this. He responds awkwardly to Mrs Beauregarde question as arguably any average young boy would if a woman made a reply that implied love. Moreover when Veruca says that Wonka told him he already said his speech about the chocolate he passively mocks the children for their height, something a child would do. Further times are when he gets over excited about showing the group the Inventing Room as a child would.

I love how on the boat pretty much everyone looks freaked out as it races along...

I love the fact that all the oompa loompas on the boat start laughing at the group, knowing exactly what is going to happen to all of them in the next couple rooms, and Wonka just playing it off as "it must be from all those dagum cocoa beans" is brilliant

I love how Willy gives Charlie the chocolate, he rarely gets to have something sweet such as chocolate and he never got to try anything because the other kids took it from him

What I love about this scene is the music buildup as Willy Wonka said "Switch on the lights". It was so whimsical that I'm still getting goosebumps.
