As a young girl, I always loved Veruca's curly hair. She may have been a brat and a terrible girl, but I did envy her curly hair.

This scene, without exaggeration, traumatized me when I was a kid. Everything about it. Veruca getting pinned down by an army of rabid squirrels while screaming for her dad to help and Mr. Salt desperately trying to break in as he is forced to watch his 12 year old ( I assume that's her age ) daughter get thrown down a deep, dark hole that leads into the firey pits of hell. Good thing the incinerator was broken.
