Many people who used to go into an office everyday are now working from home. This is mostly good thing. It’s comfortable at home, and you don’t have to deal with a time-consuming, stressful commute.

But working form home has its drawbacks too: It can be hard to focus with all the distractions. It can make you seem less professional. It can be tough to separate your work from the rest of your life.

I’ve been working from home for a long time now, ever since leaving I left corporate America to do my own thing. I’ve had “studios” in the living room or guest room and, nowadays, in a dedicated space.

So I’d like to think I’m somewhat of an expert when it comes to working from home in productive and sustainable way. In this video, I’ll go over 6 work from home essentials that will help you adjust to this new normal.

I am actually, quite the opposite well kind of... When, I get started I get so involved with what I am doing I forget to take breaks. Something, I learned in psychology called "Flow State- Where an individual is so involved with what they are doing that it feels as if time has stood still." I started putting a timer on my I Pod to take a break every hour. The only probably is sometimes with YouTube it's my greatest teacher but also distraction when on break. So, I am trying to remedy that.

Hey man! Love your channel but allow me to just share a small piece of negative feedback: to me as a viewer, a tiny bit of ads during a video is completely fine and, actually, your companies of choice are quite often interesting and valuable. But, in my opinion, 3 minutes of adv over a 10 minutes video just makes it hard to endure. We're talking 30% of your total content for this video! I know that we all have to pay our bills, but this just felt like an invasion :)
Hope I didn't sound insulting or aggressive, just sharing my questionable 2 cents.

Great advice on keeping your work environment separate from your living environment. I live in a tiny house (about 500 sq ft) and my home office is also my kitchen island/dining area. At the end of the day, I store my laptop and work supplies away in a storage unit that I built next to the island so that there is a visual "clear space" after I'm done with work.

Hey, MM - would love a "Life Update" or "Day in the Life" sort of video from you. I feel like I missed how you moved from NYC to wherever you are, how you share your space with your wife, what sort of routines you have now, etc. Been a long time follower on YT, but haven't really seen you address this. Keep up the great vids!!

I use a neck pillow. I find it helps I guess "Craddle the nerves because I am I am looking down a bit at my laptop for hours. Also, I have a laptop fan underneath which props up the computer a little while also keeping it cool especially, in the warmer weather.

Good essentials, thanks for video. One comment about timing: for some companies of corporate world WFH is ending. So I don’t want to invest expensive gears like microphone or big screen..

Very impressed when I noticed you could write with both hands... I do too, originally righted and it was a great process learning the other. I noted the last point, my essential is an area rug below my desk.

I know years ago Pewdipe he even still might have a studio because he wanted to separate his work and personal life. That would never work with my OCD lol.

Thanks for this great video. Given the price of this device (with cover and the best marker) is almost 800 dollars, do you think it's worth the investment from a productivity standpoint? For me, 800 is quite a bit for an electric notepad. I agree that it's an amazing device but just the cost makes me pause.

Would you recommend the chair you linked in the description for someone with shorter legs? I’ve found it hard to find the perfect chair as most office chairs have a seat that is too deep for my leg length.

Also, I quit following a lot of those Daily Gaming Streamers. I don't mean like Jacksepticye or anyone like that but the gamers who stream for 8 hours a day every day. It was something, I didn't want to do at first because I liked being part of the community but felt it was best. However, now, I am more involved with the language and environmental communities on YouTube instead.
