Been there done that. You folks are not alone. We did it in 1966. My father took on 5 kids from 3 mos infant to a 14yrs old. We survived and thrived under our father's care and love.

I know exactly what you are going through. My ex-wife left me and my children then a year later I meet my new wife. I supported my kids and hers. Five kids and a new wife and no child support coming in and I would not change it for the world. I'm 63 now and my oldest step son came to me on his 18 birthday with his new name he had changed his last name to mine then I know I was doing something right and I thanked God for everything he had done for us. All have grown up and moved to their own life but we still are all a tight family. I thank God for everything.

I salute this dad. He is amazing. I must say that my wife and i have been married for 31 years and have 2 kids in their 20's. We had our issues throughout the years but could always sort it out by the grace of God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. Cannot imagine what this hero and some of you in the comments went through but i respect you guys a lot. May God bless you all.

My x left me and my daughter (she was about 3 years old). I always let my girl make the choice if she wanted to see her MUM !!! She got hurt at times, but I stood by her choices and still stood by my choices !!!! She is 35 next birthday, and I love and respect her choices in life !!!
