The daughter went to the dad with the info about the texts. She clearly trusts him more. Probably a good decision that she live with him. He is probably a wonderful father, and the kids are closer to him.

I think John doesn’t understand that in some states, you’re legally required to live separately for a year before you can file for divorce. It doesn’t matter how much you want it to be over, unfortunately.

i'm just shocked that John has never heard of the mandatory one year separation. I live in NC and no one can get a divorce without being separated for one year first. This is the law in many states.

Was here 6 months ago. She woke up one day and decided this life wasn't for her. No complaints, just she wanted something different. She ended up being unfaithful and leaving and she cut everyone of our friends off and moved across the country. Thank God we didn't have any kids, but the person I married is dead.

Oh gosh he’s rationalizing and regretting . I feel bad for him. He should seek counseling. He is going to need so much support being a single father raising two daughters. Very sad

Thank God he God custody of the kids. The daughter who found the texts must've suspected mom was up to something. I feel for this dad. I pray he and the kids get counseling.

A loss that’s a blessing in disguise. Go be a great and honorable role model to your children. Many have done it alone before you or still doing it with no regrets. You can do it too! Be around supportive people who you know you can trust around your daughters. All the best.

“you’re choosing to not grieve” man, that is super real. hope is a dangerous thing. you gotta grieve. feel sad, hell cry if you need to but you can’t hang on to women that are gone.

I think we've all been there. Hanging on to hope and praying things will change. Ego doesn't want us to lose but we have to accept that loss and put it behind us. The quicker we do that, the quicker we get to piece ourselves together and begin to take control of our lives. Wishing the best for this guy ✌️

That's my story that started in July 2020...man does it suck, but there is a happy life on the other side too. Saddest part for me is what the new normal for my daughter is. And there's nothing I can do to change it.

In some states you have to be physically separated for a year before you file for divorce. North Carolina is one of them. Separated and living apart.

Oh this was just text book! She checked out a very long time ago, probably soon after she had her 2nd child. This is heartbreaking, dude.. 💔 Keep the girls, look after them and raise them well. They deserve so much better than this! 😔
