Let me remind you LEGO is a family-owned company. Were it publicly traded, they'd never have done this.

It should be noted that if they can take a 70% increase in production cost and afford to not increase sales prices, they were upselling for profit so hard that doubling the price doesn't effect them

This company is still danish and hasnt sold out to china and US brand owners etc. This is why they are actually being logical and renewable and not greedy.

Lego are actually around the same price per block then they were in the 2000s. Only around 1 cents more per block the difference is now they are more complex and the expansive one just have many more pieces
For example the falcon 2007 if you do the number of pieces and the price each pieces cost 10cent, the 2017 falcon is 11cent a piece when you count inflation it is actually the same price.

Reasons why I love Lego:
- Fun to build stuff with (Even things that if made properly really work.)
-Not as greedy as other companies.
- Cares about the planet and often do donations.
- Stimulate creativity
- Dont do stuff for money
- Lego lore


Edit: Am I just THAT dumb for thinking its less greedy then other companies? Every company is hreedy but 70% more for production but it not effecting the cost says something RIGHT?

I would like to point out that LEGO did in fact increase their prices, at least for Star Wars sets, about half a year ago
