Lots of Lego colors do this, the crocodile locomotive is all brown, but under blue light it’s a mix of brown and burgundy, and it’s a much clearer contrast than the bricks in this video

If you look clossly in regular light they are slightly different, but theyre close enough that most people wont notice

Fun fact : green transparent pieces actually glow in blue. Light

You can see the difference even without the blue light but it is very subtle.

I have some red that glow bright than the old ones. Must be the bricks being newer

It would likely be a change in red dye quantity rather than blue, as you would use red dye to get that color from a pure yellow base (likely, they changed from yellow base + red pigment to a yellow base that had the color already)

Put trans bright green bricks (like the wings on Lloyd’s titan mech) under a black light and watch them glow!

I found out last week the same. But with an minifig leg. The feets look the same but with the blue lamp they are not the same orange. Left and right aren’t same.
