Love frugalness. My tips, learn to not find happiness through things, don’t drink too much, mix posh cereal with low value cereal, have a cheap meal twice a week (soup or beans on toast), turn lights off, test the cheaper value foods they can be nicer than brand ones.

Irish grandmother, she also did all of these and passed it on. I love hearing her stories especially food related ones and how meat could last all week making different meals with it. I highly recommend the next time you visit your grandparents or parents take a notebook and write down family recipes not only do get great advice but they kept in the family and passed down ☺️

I completely agree with the used items. Buying used furniture and household items is okay as long as they are in good condition. My partner and I bought our two seater sofa from a charity shop. The sofa was in great condition and really great style for our home. We saved a tone of money. Thank you for sharing your grandmas frugal tips with us.

Your hair and makeup look great in this video 🙂

Some great ideas here. Especially regarding repairing things and not wasting food, unfortunately we live in such a throwaway society. Keep up the great videos, love your new look.

I totally agree with your fifteen tips. Something to think about for this time of the year is that citrus, and pineapples are in season, buy them in bulk and can them, make marmalade, make citrus curds, or lacto-fermnted citrus sodas. Thank you for sharing your Grandmother's wisdom.

Good old grandma, , she sounds a wonderful role model, , my tip : it doesn’t really apply if you are a salaried worker but I only get paid for the hours I work ( in a care home) so I have to log on with a plastic card as soon as I enter the building, , there was glitch in the system one month and I wasn’t paid for a 12 hour shift, , a queeried it with my manager and sure enough I had been underpaid, , there are so many carers who work extra in some months and I always encourage them to check their wage slip which is online and they say they haven’t been shown what to do or their password doesn’t work, , another tip is for uniformed workers to check their tax code, , write to their local tax office and inform them of laundry cost and the cost of working shoes, , providing tools for the job etc, , best wishes, Lisa ( in Uk)

Hi Anna.Usefu tips of course. To be even more effective, frugal living should be combined with investing and side hustles as well. So, while you reduce your expenses on one hand, you elevate your income/incomes on the other hand. This will lead in reaching your goals faster and maybe easier !!!.

I'm going hard on #8. I live in a one bedroom apartment, and that's because I never used the 2nd bedroom when I had a 2 bedroom apartment.

If something is wrong with an appliance I arrange a repairman. Then they come for. $$. Then they diagnose and order the part if available. Then leave. Then the part comes. Then they come after the part comes. Then they fix it. When I was little they knew what washer I had and fixed it cause they had the likely part. It’s all ridiculous. I could buy a new one and get it home faster and not for much more. All tha driving, shipping of parts…
