Blood worm and mussel worm were used by my father in South Africa when he was a kid. I've not used any worms while I was still there.

I just googled it because those jellyfish are in the lake near me Australian spotted jellyfish -Phyllorhiza Punctata they say there harmless to humans.

Great video, to answer the question for the alternative for beach worm in South Africa it would be bloodworms the are native to South Africa and is great for salt and fresh water fishing
