This video is part of a series of videos in which I show you how to build an outdoor kitchen. This is not a step by step video, but more of a basic diy outdoor kitchen explanation of how I built my very own outdoor kitchen.

In this video I finish up the framing on the outdoor kitchen, cover the front of it with nice looking cedar wood fence panels and build the doors. It's coming along nicely and I'm getting excited to fire up the bbq and get this outdoor kitchen working!

FYI: I'm not a professional, I'm just a homeowner that enjoys doing projects on my own. My videos are meant to show you the process in which I used to achieve said project. They may be different, wrong, right, crappy or whatever but I see them as a way to show the struggles of learning and/or figuring out DIY projects in your own home. As they say, "There's more than one way to skin a cat." Hopefully my videos help you and inspire you to work on your own DIY projects. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for joining me!

This is exactly what I will be doing. Just poured a 25x25 patio and I really needed some inspiration. Your example is well within my ability.

Thx

I think you did a great job. I’m a woodworker in the capacity of heirloom jewelry boxes made from exotic woods. Grain placement is extremely important to me. One thing that may have made this more aesthetically pleasing to the eye would’ve been to make the door and the right side cabinet from one plank. Then it would’ve blended together better, rather than seeing a door made from completely different planks. Nonetheless you did good and should be proud of yourself..

Install the sink so you *need not go inside* to use the kitchen sink. I'd like to have ours on thend where most easily reached from the yard for gardening, yard work, drinking water.

Any concerns/precautions with the wood and the BBQ? What if there is a flare up? Looks great, can't wait to see it finished!

How’d you tie your lumber down with the tailgate open like that especially for the small pieces to keep them from sliding out? Maybe that’d be a good video topic?

good vid BrigGuy - i would really like this style for my indoor kitchen ( minus bbq) as i like the heavy strong framing vs those mdf cabinets etc .. any considerations ?

I'd really like some kind of sink while I'm BBQing. Just a hose hook up or bottled water spout with bucket or hose drain. That distance to the sink bugs me every time I BBQ . I like the bucket idea for condiments, I'd like one bigger to hold ice and more than condiments. All that wasted storage space underneath would bug me too. Might look cute with some barndoor sliders on them. I'd love to keep all my BBQ stuff underneath instead of the Laundry room they reside in.
