12:25 for anyone having a problem here where clip start end and softness options aren't showing up i just googled it and someone said that in blender 2.81 it is automatically calculated so you don't need to manually do it.

Hdri Tip: You can also link a camera ray to the factor of a mix shader and have an image texture mixed with your HDRI this way you get the lighting of the HDRI but the reflection/image of your choosing.

If you add a mapping node to the vector of your environment node you can rotate the hdri to change the lighting angel.

IOR values of Water:
Water (0 deg C) 1.333
Water (100 deg C) 1.318
Water (20 deg C) 1.333
Water (gas) 1.000
Water (35 deg C) 1.325
Water Ice 1.310

Change color management to filmic blender will give you better lighting/shadow results as well for closer to true colors.

The index of refraction (IOR) for water, if anyone is interested, is 1.333

Grant is the first one to show me how to make wadder in Evee look good. Such a Chad this man is.

For the shack's planks color, I plugged an Object Info (Random) Node into a Color Ramp (with a variation of light and dark beige colors) then plugged it in the Principled BSDF.

Fantastic! I would really like (as a bonus perhaps) to see how you would light a night scene of this! As always, really good job in explaining even though it´s not that complicated you make everything crystal clear!

WoW ... the new 2.80 is so much better! To turn ON transparency I just need to know I need to turn it on, then find only 5 different places where I need to turn it on! Genius!

This taught me more about Blender than any other video has! <3 For the next part, I would really like to see how you made that cloth that hangs over the door. I created a cloth using the physics tab but I am not sure whether that's the best approach to take.

Hey, I´m setting up the lights of my scene but when I look into the shadow tab I can't find "Clip start", "End" or "softness options", instead of that I've got something called cascaded shadow map, so is this a change on the interface? I have the last version of blender :c Btw, Awesome tutorial :D
