Which game engine takes the crown in your opinion?

Godot totally took the cake on this one!
I love how this shows that a game doesn’t need hyper-realistic assets to be a great experience. Well done to all developers!

Thanks for having me! It was quite an interesting challenge. The games looked quite good for 1 day!

The Godot VR one was easily the coolest. DaFluffyPotato didn't even use pre-made assets, what a chad.

DaFluffyPotato wins by a landslide in my opinion, modelling everything by themself (nothings wrong with using premade assets, but thats dedication for having such limited time) AND coming up with some amazing ideas?!?! Have to look at the games they've made cause if this is what they can do with one day, what they do normally has gotta be amazing!!!

Given just a horror prompt and unlimited possibilities, 99 out of 100 game developers will make the same generic slenderman clone.

Wouldn't mind seeing someone representing board/card games and making a physical game for a future episode

I honestly feel like the Godot projects were the only realistic representations of "games made in X time" because the others used asset packs, while DaFluffyPotato actually included making all the assets in their dev time. That said, every project was really impressive given the small amount of time, I love the idea to make the mic always on and repevant to the gameplay!!

I think the Godot dev wins by a landslide, not necessarily Godot though. He was creative as hell and I think the only Engine selling points that were made were that Unity and Unreal had respectively good and good looking premade assets.

I personally really like the 24-hour Godot game. The art style is really cool and the environment looks super interesting, as well as it's the most unique out of all of the three games. Everyone here did an amazing job, love these challenge videos Prod!

Godot dev won by far. Not only he didn't rely on the hyper-realistic assets and lightning (nothing wrong about that, BTW), but his gameplay mechanic is more complete and makes the game legit scary. Kudos for him.

I'd say that thefluffypotato takes the cake with this one. I think the self-made modeling really shows their skill.

That VR game easily won that
The other games didn't feel tense to me, (I am a huge horror game freak so I'm probably just picky)
Just the audio, the scenery, the whole vibe, just absolutely incredible
Well done DaFluffyPotato

"I need more orbs."
Panic throws the moment he hears sound.

All the games were great. I do like the 24 Godot game the most. But the 24 hour game in Unreal was really good too. Did not expect the monsters to walk in the Unity game though. Definitely would have caught me off guard.

It’s wild to see DaFluffyPotato make stuff outside of Pygame. It’s awesome to see him out of the blue right after I was checking to see if he had posted recently.

I'm guessing that we're only voting on the 24 hour ones, so it definitely goes to DaFluffyPotato :D

I think Fluffypotato did a great job with the concepts throughout, especially because he placed more of an emphasis on sound and music to make the environment spookier, rather than jus relying on lighting
