My favorite aspect of your Word Count Snowball is the easing up at the beginning of the later three weeks!📝It helps to prevent getting overwhelmed or burning out while building/increasing word count goals.😃👍 Like a progression of several snowballs increasing in size...📈 And now I'm reminded of a little song...May I?...😁 "...Do you want to build a snowman?..."⛄⛄🖋🤗🤓💗

This is a really neat idea. I might use it to get out my next book in my series. I'm working on my romance thesis too but that doesn't have to be done until January, and then I only need 15, 000 words to take the first thesis class. Definitely downloading the template!

This is so interesting ! I'm definitely going to try it out as I've always found it hard to reach my writing goals. I haven't even started writing for Camp Nanowrimo at this point but I'd like to set a smaller goal to get into a writing mood and habit for the rest of the month. Thinking about the snow ball method, there's actually a French author who invented the "Défi Sablier": you have to set a timer everyday for your writing session and it's supposed to be longer as the days go by, so it's kind of the same thing ! For example, you'd start with 10 min on Monday and you'd ideally end up with an hour on Sunday 😉

Hey Kristen, i love watching your videos and listening to your podcast. I never thought i would like to write a book but you really sparked an idea in me :) so my husband and i are already brainstorming ideas and scenes and endings. We are going to write this book together... XD i´m curious if this works out as we planned. :) It is so much fun. Originally i searched for creative entrepreneurs and so i found your channel. One question i have is if you have an episode where you talk about pricing a novel correctly or if you have used some kind of calculation formula based on the booksize or Wordcount. This is interesting. I think I would like to try it not for a nanowrimo, since that’s the time I fall out of my writing habits. For nanowrimo/campnano I’ve been using the game 4thewords. It’s really great for my productivity. I’ve hit 15k and I didn’t write at all over the weekend since I try to keep “work” hours with a family.

Love this! I definitely will introduce this method into my routine. However, I have a question...

When I studied writing in school my professors stressed the idea of "saying more with less words". They meant this more as a way to urge us to write w/ stronger words. However, when I'm doing word count challenges I feel like it's more important to focus on writing a certain # of words rather than writing quality words.

What's your opinion on this?
