I work for an airline and she was scammed out of her money. She was flying on “buddy passes” and at a discount they don’t cost that much. You fly standby and it sounds like they didn’t have a seat because of a full flight and you can only fly if there’s a seat available. She made a fuss at the counter thinking she had guaranteed seats and she didn’t. She wasn’t told how these tickets “buddy passes” work. She was scammed. They both were because the friend said she bought $1500 tickets before. At that point, buy your own seat.

Sometimes it’s better to just pay for the tickets full out, I know it hurts but being cheap is not always the best way
We learned that lesson going to FL
Paid cheaper for a later flight and got stuck in Dallas for an extra day so we lost a whole day of our trip because of a mechanical issue and then it just went to crap from there on out.

Pay with the airline and you’ll know you’re getting real tickets!
I’d have been so drove if I got all the way to the airport and found out the tickets were fake.

It's been a minute since I enrolled in University, but I DEFINITELY remember knowing well before 3 weeks if I was accepted or not. I don't know why, but that part is driving me insane!
