This is what Summers are made for, you can make this easy fresh peach dessert in no time.
All you need:
4 large ripe peaches
1 pie crust dough / I used @pillsbury pie crust
2 tbsp sliced silvered almonds
For the frangipane:
1/2 cup almond flour
1 egg
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp soft butter
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
You can brush the tops with an egg wash or some heavy whipping cream and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top.
Preparation:
Peel the peaches, slice and set aside.
Make the frangipane; mix the egg, sugar butter then add the almond flour and flavor with the almond extract and vanilla extract.
In roll the pie crust, spread the almond paste all over the pie crust except for the edges. Arrange the peaches neatly then fold as shown in the video. Brush the tops with an egg wash or heavy cream. Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top of the edges and spread the sliced almonds on top of the peaches. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes and enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream.
