I have a similar question, regarding technology and it is: "Why does God not punish the prideful in the scientific and technological spheres of this world like he did in the rest of the Bible? Or did Christ's sacrifice satisfy God's wrath enough not to punish the world anymore until He comes back?

What does a God with all this power need us for? Is he lonely? Bored? Narcissistic?
It’s like someone putting together an ant farm just to screw with the ants. Sometimes when they act up, you need to shake up or drown the little pricks. Sometimes they’re good little ants so you give them treats. Sometimes they forget who rules the farm, so you kill some of them as an example to the others.
