Most of the commenters here are missing the point of what he is trying to say. He wants to weaken encryption in the name of defense. Encryption that everyone uses every day, even if they don't realise they are using it. They are asking to be able to read all of your communications, all of your transacations, with no need for a warrant or suspicion. And when they can do that, so can everyone else in the world. This is the end goal.
