Trying EGYPTIAN Food 🇪🇬 Why is it so underrated 👀

We are not a fan of fancy expensive food but we are always love comfort food. For us, simple food that cooked with love by mom & dad or grandparents is much better than fine dining food in a fancy restaurant. Egyptian food is the type of underrated comfort food. There are not many Egyptian restaurants at least in Sydney Australia.
If you are trying Egyptian food for the first time, you need to try Koshari, Egypt's national dish that combine Italian and Middle Eastern cuisines - consist of rice, macaroni, lentils, fried shallots and tomato sauce. In Cairo Takeaway, an Egyptian restaurant in Newtown Sydney Australia, we tried the Egyptian style Falafel that is quite different with Lebanese Falafel. Maalouba or Maqluba (upside down rice dish) a traditional Egyptian, Iraqi, Lebanese, Palestinian, Jordanian, and Syrian dish. Of course the grilled chicken over charcoal, can't say no to that!

I just got back from Egypt in November and yes I agree. The falafels there hits different. They fava beans taste so good and the stews, breads etc just soo good. I missed it
